Alden Rowing Shells

Greg Parker Rowing is the Ontario representative for Alden Rowing Shells. These boats are the most popular recreational rowing shells in the world, with over 25,000 sold. They are stable, secure, and suitable for rowing in open water where racing shells could not.

Where many racing shell singles have a rounded hull bottom and a waterline beam of only 11 inches, the Alden 16, 18, Quest, Horizon and Star models all have flat bottoms.

NEW this year

Alden Rowing Shells have partnered with OLYM boats to sell these very fast racing shells, manufactured in China and delivered to North America. Call Greg Parker for more details or visit the www.rowalden.com website.

The Alden Star single is 22’ long with a waterline beam of 18” and weighs only 45 lbs fully rigged, yet can carry a 275 lb rower. Built for speed and stability with the look of a racing shell, available in white, regatta yellow and now in black

Alden Star doubles are 29’ long and make great friends out of novice and seasoned rowers. Easy to row in calm or choppy water where other doubles wouldn’t venture.

The Alden 18 can be rowed as a single or a double, and has a waterline beam of 29”. A true open water shell, and great for a couple to row in cottage country.

The Alden Horizon is a good training shell with a sliding seat. It’s 17’ long, sturdy, and comes in yellow, red or granite, with blue rigger and seat. Great for kids or beginning rowers up to 225 lbs.

The new Alden Quest is 16’ long, with the sliding seat assembly from the Alden Star. Hugely popular in open water areas, and for those who like to tour or need the stability of a 24” beam. Available in white, green, blue and yellow.

The Bruciare 26. Alright, you’ve passed the desire to row recreationally and want to hit top speed all the time. This is the boat for you. At 26’ with a waterline beam of only 10.5” and only 34 lbs, this is one classy racing shell, especially in the jet black colour. Don’t be fooled by the fact it is thousands of dollars less expensive than other racing shells, this boat is fantastic.

CRATING and SHIPPING

Greg Parker Rowing sells all Alden products at the same listed price as the Alden Rowing Shell website. Unfortunately, there is a charge to crate and ship the boats and oars from Massachusetts to Ontario. Generally, this costs about $300 US and includes the customs charges. Greg Parker Rowing will deliver the shells and oars to your Southern Ontario home or cottage at no extra cost, set it up and offer a free rowing lesson.

Below are the crated, shipped and delivered prices, all in US dollars.
